The First Pound Puppies
The very first puppies were made entirely by hand, and no two were exactly alike. The fabric was hand-painted with eyes, spots and various markings. As their popularity grew and the pups were eventually picked up by various companies, their design began to change. This can make it difficult to identify what edition a plush was made. The following guide should make it easier.

Each edition lists its defining features and a few examples.
There are three sizes of pups:
Normal: 15-17 inches
Yuppie: 12-13 inches
Newborn: 7-8 inches
